Button-Up Skirts

The new trend for this fall are button-up skirts. You can find them at almost any store but the ones that have a good variety are Forever 21, H&M and Pacsun. They are either jean or suede material and are  casual but can be dressed up for a night out!

I’m wearing a peach, suede skirt from Hollister that was on sale for $7! Paired up with a sweater and boots, these skirts make a perfect and easy on-the-go outfit.

Yeezy Boost

Kanye West released his Yeezy Boosts over a year ago and they’ve gained rapid popularity. But with a shoe that costs over $1,000, how can people possibly get their hands on them?

The site I use often carries brand name designer clothes at very low prices. This is my second pair of Yeezy Boosts and they only cost $40! Aliexpress is a must go-to for all of your discount designer needs.

Channeling my Inner Sally Albright

This is something new that I might start doing, occasionally, on this blog. If you’ve never seen When Harry Met Sally you’re missing out! It’s one of my top five favorite movies and its so funny! The style of the outfits in the movie change frequently because it’s following these two character through years of time. It’s quite interesting to see the evolution of fashion over the years as portrayed in the film. The picture I chose of Sally Albrigjt is from the early 90s on the movie and I think it’s such a simple look that anyone can do. (Plus it has a turtle neck and you guys know I’m obsessed with them!)

It’s a simple outfit with just a turtle neck and a blazer! Of course, I got both of these pieces from thrift stores but they are classic items so you can find them at most stores. Now go watch the movie!

Black and Denim

The weather is so lovely right now, in the upper 50s, so it’s the perfect time to bust out your sweaters and give them some lovin’. Of course, this turtleneck was from a thrift store and so were the jeans! Ankle boots can complete any outfit and mine are from Forever 21. This look was inspired by a picture I saw of Bella Hadid on her Instagram. (Sometimes when I get bored I scroll through models’ Instagram accounts. Tis a sad and lonely life). Have a wonderful day!

Chilly in October

It’s the middle of October and already starting to feel the winter weather! We have a high of 52 today in Philadelphia so it’s time to break out the sweaters. Turtlenecks have become my new favorite type of sweater so I paired this tan one, that I got from a thrift store, with black jeggings that are also from a thrift store. I cut the holes myself so if you are looking for a ripped-jean look it’s very simple! Just put the jeans on and pull up the fabric of the jean you want to cut off and voila! I might do a little tutorial on how to cut your own jeans later.

Looks For Less: Kendall Jenner

One celebrity who, I think, has a great, simple style is Kendall Jenner. Her outfits always have basic colors but they’re put together very well to make a classy and chic look.

I scowered pictures of Kendall to find three looks that I love to provide you guys with stores where you can get the ensemble for less!

I love this look because it seems so casual and effortless, almost like something you would wear to take a walk on a beach.

I find that Old Navy always a good selection of denim jackets for reasonable prices. The link will take you to their denim jacket section.

As always, my go to store is Forever 21. They have crop tops as cheap as $6 with different varieties to choose from.

American Eagle jeans are always really comfortable and your size usually stays the same so it’s easy to shop for the jeans that you need to complete any look.

For the shoes, I chose Toms because not only are they comfortable but, when you purchase a pair, an additional pair of shoes is donated to a child in need.

This look says to me “city chic”. It’s the perfect outfit for a night out or an easy look for the office.

I found a dark gray Macy’s turtleneck online at a sale price of $25!

This tan vest from Rosewe is very unique with its layering in the front, giving it an airy feel.

I like going with jeggings over jeans because they are more comfortable and, usually, cheaper. These black jeggings from H&M are perfect for this look.

These ankle boots from DSW are the perfect way to complete the look and can be used with numerous other outfits!

This last look is my favorite one out of the three. The light blue of the pants is the perfect offset for the neutral colors of white and tan and really gives it a relaxed, girly look.

For the crop top, I chose a collared one from SheIn to give this an even more sophisticated look. If you don’t prefer collared shirts, a simple, white, turtleneck crop top should be fine.

The trench coat is going to be a bit pricier than what I would normally choose, only because I wanted to find one that was the most similar to this look and had good material. The trench coat is from Belk for $77. If you are on a really tight budget, I found a sweater-coat from SheIn for $29.

Loafers are so cute and for this look I chose Walmart’s loafers. This link will take you to a specific size so to find the size you are looking for, hit refine at the top of the page and click on whatever shoe size you are.

The color of the pants is a very hard color to find so I chose two types of pants. The one is a baby blue trouser from Forever 21 and the other are a brighter, almost electric blue dress pants from Express.

How to Wear the Same Pair of Jeans For a Week

I decided to share a post about how to style the same pair of jeans for a regular work week (five days). The jeans I’m styling are from Forever 21 and were only $13 when I bought them! I created these looks mostly for fall and spring considering it might be too hot in the summer to wear jeans.
CASUAL WALK IN THE CITY

The top I’m wearing is also from Forever 21. I liked how the neckline met at the bottom of my neck so it wasn’t too high and it wasn’t too short. The bottom of the shirt is about an inch above the top of the jeans which I think is just the right amount of skin to show if your shirt is a little too short. I styled the look with white, high-top Converse to keep it casual and to blend in with the white stripes in the top.

SPORTY

I bought this top from a thrift store in California but you can find similar ones at stores like Loft and, New York & Company, or Express. I wanted this look to be as minimalistic and simple as possible so I am wearing plain, white Nikes to color block the look into a white-black-white pattern.

  GRUNGE-Y CHIC

Some people find shirts with holes in them to be a bit sloppy looking but I think you can create a really cool, alternative look if you style it right. The shirt I’m wearing is from Urban Outfitters and I styled it with tan combat boots that are also from Urban Outfitters. By making the look more urban, it is easier to pull off the top since it looks casual but edgy.

 FALL DAY

Thrift stores are my favorite so, of course, this turtle neck is from a thrift store! Don’t worry though, you can find a turtle neck almost anywhere. I would check JCPenney, Kohls, Macys or find your nearest thrift store because I bet they have some! This look is for a chillier day so I paired it with boots that I bought from JCPenney a couple of years ago. The best place to find boots similar to mine would be DSW.

FUN AND FLIRTY

I feel like this look is something I would wear to a brunch in Central Park. The top is from Rue 21 and the shoes are Jessica Simpson which you can find at Macys. My favorite part of this outfit is my newest accessory, my hat! This hat is from Forever 21 and only cost $12.

Outfit of the Day

I put together a very simple outfit for today since the fall weather finally kicked in!

The look is very minimalist but keeps basic colors so it looks fresh. I have a white crop top from Forever 21 with a light blue denim jacket from Old Navy

Crop tops are alway my go-to shirt of choice but, little tidbit of advice, I think it’s important to wear high-waisted shorts or pants with a crop top. If you wear regular, low-rise jeans, the space that is showing skin in between your crop top and the start of the jeans can make you look bigger than you actually are. I am wearing high-waisted black skinny jeans, also from Forever 21!

For the shoes, I went with black boots so it would tie in with the pants and make my legs look longer. Ankle boots are always in style and can go with so many things! These boots are from BooHoo but I have seen similar ones at Macys.

As always, all pictures can be found on my instagram.
